The suggestion that the U.S. caused the damage was circulating on online forums popular with American conservatives and followers of QAnon

Sorry sweaty only conservatives and far-right groups would believe such a silly thing.

What's really funny about all this is; Who are they trying to convince? US Citizens have no influence over our government. If the US came right out and said they did it nothing would change. Likewise Russia's citizens aren't going to do anything to change their government's course. Europe seems completely helpless. Who is all this propaganda for? None of us are citizens. We're all subjects of various oligarchies.

      Germans.

When people lose their jobs in the factories that can no longer afford to operate, and go cold and hungry in the winter as there is not enough gas to heat homes, cook food, or run supermarkets, there will be a lot of angry desperate Germans, and if the US had admitted to destroying the pipeline that gas could have come through, more of that anger would be directed at the US.

Now they are still able to say "Putin did this to you. Putin is the reason you are cold and hungry and unemployed". Some people will believe it.

The US state had a lot to gain by sabotaging the nordstream pipeline and absolutely nothing to gain by admitting to it.

Is the US trying to set up a new fascist bloc aimed at Russia, but with all of Europe backing and funding Operation Barbarossa this time?

They need it to be Americans can only realize one truth. Either they understand gay people aren't evil or Russian people aren't evil, never both at they same time.
