That last shot...I literally stood up and shouted "kino". Looks like another year for literally me.

Real talk, I haven't seen "Joker". It seemed like a really good "nothing" if that makes sense. Something about it seems (at the time of release anyways) that the movie was "fine" but as a comic dork I didn't see it because I find the Joker to be a overused character. I always liked Batman's rogue's gallery but The Clown Prince of Crime (especially at the time of the release of the first film) the dude was on every cover.

Is the "Joker" worth a watch?

It's a fun watch, it's basically Taxi Driver with clown makeup and Phoenix carries it

Right on! I remember seeing trailers for it and thinking "Wow, this looks great, why use all that time, obvious talent, and effort on the Joker of all characters". If it's a clone of Taxi Driver that's not a bad thing to me. At least they cloned a good movie before putting the clown make-up on.

Also "the worst part about being mentally ill is everyone expects you to act like you're not" is a line that echoes in my fucking soul

puke. the singers & gaga gives me hope for a few musical numbers, but that's cancelled out by the fucking pretentiousness. you're making a movie about a comic book clown fuck off

The first one was very good and about as uncomicbooky as anything comic book related has ever been.

The pretentiousness is misleading and entirely the point.

??? sequel to the comic book oscar bait film, putting french in their title because cinéma is actually just goofing and not trying to put on the taken-seriously
