I thought they were going to give it to Elenskyy or Navalny. Instead they somehow give it to something even worse. Memorial, a CIA front that is responsible for the death and immiseration of millions of people. Ironically, just like with Gorbachev, the war in Ukraine is literally occurring because of them.

What's funny is that subversive groups like Memorial would never be allowed to exist in the United States or Europe. Can you imagine an American version of Memorial where they go around placing monuments all over the U.S documenting America's genocides, war crimes, and lebensraum? Or describing the millions that America killed oversees in school textbooks? I know I can't. The closest we have is the milquetoast 1619 Project which just wants to mention that America was founded by slavers. Even something as minor as this was enough to drive the chuds into a frothing rage.

Can you point me to some documentation about the connections between Memorial and the CIA, and their contribution to regional instability? I want to have references for when I get into arguments.

Echoing the other comrade, Memorial stinks to high heaven, but it's not as explicitly CIA as, say, the NED. Would love further reading

Judging from the title I thought they did something they've never done before. They gave the same award to the same person: Kissinger.
