So I’m currently in Cuba and will be here for a good week. Have been mostly looking around (albeit with my broken Spanish) to check out important historical monuments such as Granma and as well as understand how socialism has been progressing throughout Cuba . I do happen to have a spare amount of time to do other things. Any thoughts especially if you’ve been to Cuba before?

It’s actually surprisingly easy to travel to Cuba as a yank after Obama’s visit to Cuba even after Trump presidency. There’s direct flights between Miami and Havana. The only thing about travelling to Cuba from Amerikkka is that it prohibits travel to Cuba for tourism /recreational purposes (OFAC) but you can travel if it falls under general categories. Most people go for support for the Cuban people (Oh the irony of this when having an inhumane blockade) since it’s vague and such and usually entails doing things such as staying at a casa particular. The most you will ever see out of it as a yank is filling out some affidavit that you’re traveling to Cuba under a general category. Of course that can change if a reactionary comes to power.
