Biden voters living the meme
Given the apologetics they engage in whenever a Ukrainian soldier is photographed with some fascist imagery on their uniform, I’m not so sure about that.
no you dont understand, we're not fascist we just need those guys to help defend European civillization from the filthy Russian hordes
Meanwhile, on r/StarWarsLeftyMemes 🤢🤮:
Show"Guise, don't let
perfectgenocide be the enemy of good!!1!"Saw Gerrera was right, the "New Republic" was just as dysfunctional as the old and was easily crushed by the fascists they spared for civility reasons.
Saw is like the only correct character in Star Wars
Saw Gerrera
I don't even know what part of the franchise this screenshot is from but holy shit, could that name be any more on the nose?
Like who was Saw Gerrera fighting against as the primary antagonist?
Randolph Hissler or something?I can just imagine the writers spitballing a name:
"What if we had a character whose name was like the guerrilla fighter Che Guevara?"
"Excellent idea!! Gueva—Guerri—Gerrera! We'll call him Gerrera. And we can't use the name Che so it'll have to be something different."
"...how about Saw?"
"Perfect! No notes. Saw Gerrera it is!"
I don't even know what part of the franchise this screenshot is from but holy shit, could that name be any more on the nose?
It's a screenshot from Andor, which is one of the few genuinely good, and radical pieces of Star Wars media to come out in a very long time. Please go watch it, it has a heist plot that was inspired by a passage in a biography of young Stalin, where he robbed banks to fund the Bolsheviks.
Goddamn, that's pretty neat.
I'll see if I can muster enough focus to watch some episodes of it.
it was really good and I hope you do, there's some real good fuckin' scenes
It has a really good buildup/payoff ratio, with satisfying 3-episode arcs
Since we're "imperfect allies" maybe libs should bend the knee instead of fighting us on fuckin genocide
Damn, I remember that group at one time pushing back on such lib shit. Maybe all the cool folks came here.
Voting is not some grand statement that defines who you are or what you believe, it is a lever of power to make the US better or worse. There are two choices un the upcoming election, one is clearly better. Biden is better. Voting for biden isn't saying he's the second coming, it pushing us the right direction (which is to the left) even if in a small way.
Biden is right wing. He has become more and more right wing. There is no pushing anything left.
Biden's unwillingness to reign Israel in, even a LITTLE, has now led us to Iran retaliating against Israel for their bombing of the Iranian embassy.
Biden is now culpable for a genocide and probably a new war starting in the Middle East thru his overt support for genocide.
Shut up.
Pray tell, what small way will Biden move left? What is his incentive if you already gave, as you mentioned, your lever of power away?
So what's your solution? Let me correct that, what's your viable solution?
Seriously, put a viable, can take the seat, and enough of the congressional seats to push us to not trump and you have my vote.
Oh wait, instead of getting out to organize, you're on the internet supporting the empty platitudes that will elect a man who is the same president who put Isreal in Jerusalem.
For someone against genocide, you're doing nothing to prevent it beyond helping the person who is objectively worse for Gaza. The man who entertained kissenger, who destroyed the deal with Iran that might've given us leverage against Israel, the man who idolized world dictators, who spoke favorably of Netanyahu.
Your words on the interbet mean nothing if you're not out trying to build the better party in our imperfect system.
When he's elected, and Netanyahu is given full unwavering support, you'll have no one but yourself but to blame. Biden has made small but significant steps in pushing 70 years of international policy away from blind, unwavering support. Without congress there's literally only so much he can do with it only ally in the middle east. All of that disappears as fast as the nuclear deal with Iran, when you help elect the guy who actually does support genocide. The same man who actively passed multiple Muslim ban initiatives.
How is Biden not giving Netanyahu full unwavering support already? He gives lip service and pretends to be upset, but how many times has he bypassed congress to send more weapons to Israel so they can continue their genocide? He's to the right of fucking Reagan on this.
He called Netanyahu an asshole one time in private maybe, that means he's not fully backing Benny
If you want to be delusional
Why type anything else if you want your only point to be: "don't point out the flaws in my plan, give me a better one or else I'll have to voooooooooote" and won't respond to criticism of your ideas? Such obvious shifting of the conversation like you took a middle school debate class. I have a viable option: work with Iran to carpet bomb the United States. This will solve 90% of issues in the world.
There was no shift.
The first question was to make the point that you're all of men yelling at clouds.
The other stuff was to show off the two viable options one is objectively worse for Gaza.
But in typically, chronically online fashion you all think you're so smart yelping at clouds doing nothing to fix the issue.
The other stuff was to show off the two viable options one is objectively worse for Gaza.
And I showed that your reasoning for this is objectively incorrect, as well as the fact that your method of "action" doesn't actually cause a leftward shift or save anything.
There was a shift as well. Barrbaric responded to your argument that Biden was better for Gaza, and instead of listening, you simply ignored it and wrote "Answer the first question." I could show how this follows exactly what I said in my comment, or you could scroll up.
And once again yall fail.
Ultimately, I don't really care if you agree with my reasoning. I want you to point out what the best option in November is. Because it sure as shit isn't trump.
And not surprisingly, all you seem chariot activists who only just now started giving a shit about the Palestinian suffering after ignoring it for the last 70 years, have no viable solution. Because you haven't done shit in the last 70 years to elect a congress (the same congress who ratified the treaty with Isreal hampering the "near unlimited powers of state the president has" the same congress who keeps sending money to Isreal that the president can't just not send, unless you need Biden to be impeached, like trump did when he denied congressional funding to Ukraine, further hampering that do called near unlimited power) or the white house, to effectively change our foreign policy in the middle east. Hell you haven't done shit even since Netanyahu showed his true fascist colors.
Yall want to come on the interwebs and beat your chest, despite the fact that we've finally got aide for Gaza in a bill finally, and bitch and moan that Biden can't overturn 70 years of foreign policy in less than a year when you woke up to a 70 year plight.
When November comes I'll pick Gazas best hope in a two party election and sleep with the knowledge that I did the best I could with what was available, then continue to work to support a better party. Keep hitting the sidewalk to get better. Get signatures. And you? You'll still look like a toddler day dreaming of rainbow shitting unicorns rather than being the adult you are and doing what you can with what you have while actively, and actually working, to make things better.
Holy shit you're stupid oh my God. Actual "adults in the room" brainrot.
And not surprisingly, all you seem chariot activists who only just now started giving a shit about the Palestinian suffering after ignoring it for the last 70 years, have no viable solution.
I haven't been alive for 70 years, but I've cared about Palestinian suffering and Israeli colonialism since I was 15. You don't give a fuck, whining about a "viable solution" as an excuse to support the status quo while your "harm reduction" candidate ships off bombs for Israel to flatten another Palestinian village. There is no electoralism when it comes to imperialism, some mythical candidate that will somehow end US interference abroad by decree (where I specifically, in my other comment, brought up the point that any Democratic leadership will simply finance the farthest rightward candidate in the GOP instead of moving left in order to coerce idiots like you into thinking you came up with the brilliant rational idea of voting for the "lesser evil" anyways—shown by, in that comment, the DNC leading Trump to power prior to the 2016 election, and Democratic funding by the millions for far-right Republicans).
I don't just "disagree with" your reasoning, you have made claims that are objectively false and when asked to own up to this you default back to "give me a better option," as if you don't have to justify your default option. Voting for Biden is not harm reduction, and as far as a solution goes it's found in shipping your money off to Ansar Allah and Iran rather than playing the electoral game, since the liberation of the colonies is fundamentally the first step in eliminating bourgeois electoralism as the height of domestic political action.
It's so naive to act like Israel just showed its "true fascist colors" or that the issue can be limited to Netanyahu, Zionist leaders since before the founding of Israel openly writing down their plans for the colonization and ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
the same congress who keeps sending money to Isreal that the president can't just not send, unless you need Biden to be impeached, like trump did when he denied congressional funding to Ukraine, further hampering that do called near unlimited power)
I already showed in another reply that Biden has repeatedly bypassed Congressional approval for weapons sales to Israel, all you had to do was scroll up (you had five days to do this) and you wouldn't embarrass yourself like this Jesus. This "Congress is holding him back" myth has been so thoroughly disproven that your brain has to be leaking out of your ears to repeat it.
and bitch and moan that Biden can't overturn 70 years of foreign policy in less than a year when you woke up to a 70 year plight.
Oh wow I had no idea he was working to overturn 70 years of foreign policy. Has Biden even paid lip service to an end to US support for Israel, or has he, on the contrary, kept up material support while "scolding" Netanyahu to placate critics?; to quote my reply that you had five fucking days to read:
"The settler state of Israel already has blind, unwavering support from Biden, and if you think otherwise you've been duped. It reminds me of those 'leaked' conversations that libs fell for wrt US support for Saudi Arabia. You on the one hand have Biden calling for Israel to stop its genocide, and on the other quietly shipping them the weapons to continue it. It's all optics."
Wow you'll get signatures? Maybe the US will send more "aid" while at the same time backing the genocide diplomatically and financially, this disparity really being a sign of progress and not a cynical way of keeping up appearances without changing anything.
Okay, fine. Protest Biden's complicity in genocide and make it as clear as possible that you won't vote for him in the hopes that he steps down due to his obvious unpopularity and the DNC chooses a less rabid zionist, or, at bare minimum, is forced to adopt a less zionist party line in the future.
And if that doesn't work, there's always .
Biden has made small but significant steps in pushing 70 years of international policy away from blind, unwavering support
was this before or after he gave israel multiple hundreds of billions of dollars to continue their genocide?
eat shit liberal
Death to America
calling someone else an asshole while openly supporting genocide
Death to America
So what's your solution? Let me correct that, what's your viable solution? Seriously, put a viable, can take the seat, and enough of the congressional seats to push us to not trump and you have my vote.
One, voting for DNC plants will only ever bring worse and worse people than Trump, as shown by Hillary and the DNC's propping up of more right-wing candidates in the GOP instead of moving left. If Democrats were serious about Trump being a potential dictator/fascist, why have they not taken up genuine extreme action against him? He still serves the same purpose even after the DNC's strategy failed, which is to be the extreme opposition that can be appealed to in order to gather votes without shifting their policies/positions.
You have to defend your position rather than sticking to it until a better one is presented. And it's clear your own position is without merit, so instead you've shifted the burden of proof.
You never explained how Biden is pushing the US to the left. There is no "leverage against Israel," Israel is currently kept afloat entirely by US funding/support. The settler state of Israel already has blind, unwavering support from Biden, and if you think otherwise you've been duped. It reminds me of those "leaked" conversations that libs fell for wrt US support for Saudi Arabia. You on the one hand have Biden calling for Israel to stop its genocide, and on the other quietly shipping them the weapons to continue it. It's all optics.
Biden has made small but significant steps in pushing 70 years of international policy away from blind, unwavering support. Without congress there's literally only so much he can do with it only ally in the middle east. All of that disappears as fast as the nuclear deal with Iran, when you help elect the guy who actually does support genocide.
First, Biden has described himself constantly as a Zionist. What do you think Zionism is other than genocidal European settler-colonialism in Palestine? Biden has made absolutely zero steps against this, proven by your lack of mentioning them. And what do you mean "without Congress"? Biden has bypassed Congress multiple times to sell weapons to Israel. Last, I'm curious what you mean about Trump "idolizing world dictators."
How? The question is how is he to the left of Trump? There's like 1 answer I'll accept.
He's still building a wall
He's increased ICE funding over Trump's deranged levels
He's been completely supportive of literally everything Israel is doing
He let Roe be abolished
He's letting all these laws crop up that chip away at LGBTQ preotections
He's still increasing the military budget during peace
His AG got the right to indefinitely detain migrants
He did nothing about college debt
He did nothing about healthcare (oh a two percent modification to Obamacare, all fixed!)
His blithering stupidity about Israel led to Iran striking Israel after Israel bombed their embassy, potentially leading to another hot war
He punted on COVID
Actually, he told states to use COVID funding to hire cops in response to a slight increase in property crime (and a decrease in violent crime, and we all know how good cops are at stopping property crime
Your liberals ARE conservatives.
Voting is not some grand statement that defines who you are or what you believe
No one here thinks it is
it is a lever of power to make the US better or worse
No its not. The US is going to get worse regadless of who is president. US elections are a hollow ritual that gives the illusion of choice to the mass of people. Engaging with that ritual is an empty action that allows the unaware to believe they live in a democracy when they don't.
Voting for biden isn't saying he's the second coming, it pushing us the right direction (which is to the left) even if in a small way.
Biden is not a step to the left in any imaginable scenario. The US gov only moves to the right. The parties function as a rachet effect.
We don't need evangelists here. We do not support or accept bourgeois liberal democracy. Don't worry, there aren't enough of us to sway your hollow election so there is literally no reason to say they same dumb arguements you libs always say as if we've never heard them
The parties function as a ratchet effect.
Remembering when, instead of thinking of shifting their positions left, Hillary Clinton and the DNC purposefully supported more right-wing candidates in the GOP, including Trump, so they could be the "lesser evil."
Yeah the DNC has been spending millions on far right candidates to just speed up rightward drift
You do understand that here before October 7 the general opinion here was "Biden to the gulag, Trump to the wall" and now we've dropped our nice merciful opinions.
The US can't be made better, only replaced with something better.
