      In fairness to Americans Minecraft has an incredibly deep reach in to the childhood of basically anyone born after 1999 whose family can afford an entry level PC or a smart phone or a tablet.

      Like in so far as anything can be considered a cultural phenomena, Minecraft is a cultural phenomena. And as far as corporate IP goes few products have ever encouraged exploration, self expression, and creativity like a game that basically amounts to an infinite number of colored blocks you can use to make anything you want.
