Unlike other posters who make this thread, online takes are cool here, but bonus points for IRL stuff.

I was drinking with a coworker last night and somehow communism and the USSR came up. They went on about the Holodomer, implying it was engineered and targeted. I explained "hey you're literally repeating nazi talking points" and I dont recall the rest of the conversation, but im happy I got to defend Stalin at a work gathering.

Not the worst thing I've heard all week I don't think, but its both IRL and fresh in my brain.

Today my kid showed me a TikTok made by my country's psychotic libertarian party. The aesthetics and production quality made it look like something made by a 6th grader but this was made by a real political party with seats in parliament. The TikTok have the following reasons to vote for the psychotic liberal party:

    1. Lower taxes = you get more money
    2. Abolishing var taxes so everyone can get a cool car
    3. The chairman of the psychotic libertarian party becomes prime minister. (And he is "Daddy").

The psychotic libertarian party is doing very well with young voters and stand to gain a lot of seats at the upcoming election, in no small part due to their meme-based social media campaigning.
