The relationship with obsidian and interplay stuff is weird. Like its still there, but it's different to facilitate what they wanted.
So like there are some lead farmers (guys who dig through rubble for ammo) wearing NCR rangers armor but the NCR itself is gone.
House is still a guy who ran Robco with a moustache and that's basically what he is so far.
The big empty is still around but it's run by a generic corporate dude.
The enclave is back again in force with soldiers and facilities and stuff but they don't.... do anything?
Vegas specifically is a tough one to answer. They haven't explicitly written Vegas off and anything else might be a spoiler, maybe, it's not clear.
So like. Assume new Vegas is canon except when it would result in anything but a post apocalyptic wasteland or it would advance the timeline from slightly before fallout 2
The fact that Bethesda, and by extension now Amazon, won't let go and let things move on is so frustrating when that was the whole thesis of new vegas, and the fact that the setting moved on was central in 2.
The Enclave thing is so illustrative of t his because the player character destroyed the Enclave in 2, another player character destroyed the Enclave again in 3, and the game had an entire arc about how truly dead the Enclave was in New Vegas, and Fallout 76 (Which admittedly I have not played) kills off the entire enclave before the game begins and they still can't stop bringing them back.
Is Vegas still intact? If they jossed my favorite entry in the chronology I can't be acknowledging this series

God... Dammit Bethesda I think I'd have Rather them jossed it than de-flavor it. Like, this is the boiled chicken of post-apoc at this point
