The GOP has decided that the attacker was a prostitute and Paul drunkenly attacked him. The 21st century is so cool I love it here.

i saw a chud saying that there was a dispute over payment for sex or drugs or payment for drugs? and that's why paul didn't call the cops right away and also why paul was able to get his hands on the hammer before the police came. they also said that this was why the pelosis were refusing to release surveillance footage

        Lol.

My best guess is that the guy had no intention of assassinating anyone. He broke in or talked his way in, more or less took Paul hostage, and at some point between Paul calling the cops and the cops opening the door the guy figured out Paul had called the cops and they started fighting.

Because, like... If he actually intended to assassinate someone it's really easy to get a gun in America, or at least a knife. But apparently the only weapon involved was a hammer, and it's not even clear if he brought that or found it on site.

But then who knows, the whole thing is wild.

i mostly agree, but i do think he probably wanted to kill nancy. as for the gun thing, it's not as easy to get guns in SF - I don't think there is a single gun shop remaining in the city, and California has long waiting periods and background checks and stuff. it was probably a mostly spur of the moment plan that he hadn't spent more than a day or two thinking about, otherwise he probably would have waited until he knew that she would be there.

another thing i just remembered: chuds have been talking about how hypocritical the pelosis are for having guns/ccw permits for years, he may have just thought he'd be able to get a gun on site

having purchased a gun in California, it's ten days.

and checking Google Maps, there seems to be a normal number of gun shops in SF.
