    So while arguing with fascists is 100% a waste of time and nobody should do it, from what I've seen many of the libertarian :freeze-peach: types actually huff their own farts enough to believe what they say, and saying something along the lines of "Do you think ISIS should have a platform on twitter?" Is a good way to make them reconsider the "free speech absolutist" bs. Post 9/11 americans hate Islamic terrorrists much more than they hate nazis.

      I mean, my attitude has always been to ask why we draw the line at ISIS when so many worse people remain functionally untouchable?

      Counterpoint: It does and always has existed. But because interpersonal communication has a social impact, it does not occur without reprecussions.

      The American Dream of being able to scream slurs into an empty void to no effect is the real future vision for social media. But for now, we still have too many IRL end users and not enough believable social media bots ready to insulate your echo chamber.
