Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)
Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

I've noticed that the discussion of dirty bombs has decreased to zero ever since that batshit idea about Ukraine shooting down their own Iskander filled with nuclear material over Chernobyl and blaming Russia for it.
Perhaps this indicates that the Russians have the situation under control, whether that situation was truly as bad as "this will imminently happen" or more like "Zelensky talked about maybe doing it, let's scare the shit out of him to stop that speculation". We may never know and I don't really care either way so long as it doesn't happen.
Ukraine isn't the first country to be giving signs of preparation for nuclear war and won't be the last. I've decided that I'm simply not going to think about the possibility of nukes or dirty bombs dropping too hard, as it would be an event horizon over which I couldn't even begin to make predictions.
