"How do we stop the people who are literally getting paid to post? We charge the people who are posting for free!"

This shit is so laughable even if you entertain the premise for a minute. If you run a bot net all paying to post does is cut into your margin. The people who are most sensitive to slapping a price tag on Twitter are the ones who get zero income from it in the first place.

Your users are your product! Also I've said it before the real goldmine is free posts, but a scaling cost to delete

Hardly. Cost scales by follower count or number of tweets. I didn't say this was a moral idea, I said it was a profitable one.

But just in case I'll swing the idea by a friend of mine who is a GDPR lawyer.

But Musk has talked a big game about his plans for Twitter and, a couple of years down the road, it's not really clear that he's made anything about the platform better.

It’s very clear that he hasn’t, I’m not sure why the equivocation. None of his changes are improvements. Things that worked before are broken. Things that were broken before are still broken or actively worse. The site is bleeding users, advertisers, and money at an increasing rate. The rebrand is probably one of the greatest unforced errors in financial history. It’s not bad journalism to point out that the dumpster you’re writing about is on fire.

I don't get no respect, I tell ya. I can't even own myself on Twitter anymore. Now they're charging me rent! No respect at all
