I didn't watch the episode because their 9/11 episodes led me not to trust them on conspiracy stuff. It looks like I made the right call. Did they really buy the Warren Commission? Lol. Lmao.

Ehh not particularly. Justin was a key component in moving me left, and even if they go 120% lib :wtyp: still has hours upon hours of interesting stuff in their back catalog.

Alice wrote the JFK ep in an admittedly sleep deprived haze.

Given the absurd volume of material already in existence, I'm not really clear why they bothered with this subject.

If you're going to do Presidential assassination in a history podcast, at least get nutty with it and do Garfield or something

Precisely because of this. I've pirated many of the bonus episodes and they're markedly more low-effort than the regular ones. It's a funny podcast where at least one technical person with similar views to mine (a rarity) talks about stuff i liked learning about in college but that I hated working in.

Hell, while listening to an episode i came to think about getting my PE but then i realized it's useless for my discipline, and that I hate working in engineering.

Its definitely an acquired taste. I like the "every day a new challenge" angle but the combination of bureaucracy and deadline-induced stress isn't fun.

Thankfully i've found a field i'm very passionate about and that i'm excited to work in. It has nothing to do with engineering, and most people i meet (including coworkers) are shocked to learn i did that in college, so it's a neat trick.

Liam participates in WTYP like how high schoolers participate in discussions during English class where they have a participation grade
