I didn't watch the episode because their 9/11 episodes led me not to trust them on conspiracy stuff. It looks like I made the right call. Did they really buy the Warren Commission? Lol. Lmao.
when the warren report was released to the public, kwame nkrumah opened it, pointed to allen dulles' name on the first page, handed it back, and simply said "whitewash"

:this:
I didn't bother with that bonus episode, I knew it was going to be some liberal BS
Ehh not particularly. Justin was a key component in moving me left, and even if they go 120% lib :wtyp: still has hours upon hours of interesting stuff in their back catalog.
Justin makes good stuff and alice is funny when shes not being too cringe
Its liam that needs to go
Alice wrote the JFK ep in an admittedly sleep deprived haze.
Given the absurd volume of material already in existence, I'm not really clear why they bothered with this subject.
If you're going to do Presidential assassination in a history podcast, at least get nutty with it and do Garfield or something
Given the absurd volume of material already in existence, I’m not really clear why they bothered with this subject.
Precisely because of this. I've pirated many of the bonus episodes and they're markedly more low-effort than the regular ones. It's a funny podcast where at least one technical person with similar views to mine (a rarity) talks about stuff i liked learning about in college but that I hated working in.
Hell, while listening to an episode i came to think about getting my PE but then i realized it's useless for my discipline, and that I hate working in engineering.
Its definitely an acquired taste. I like the "every day a new challenge" angle but the combination of bureaucracy and deadline-induced stress isn't fun.
Thankfully i've found a field i'm very passionate about and that i'm excited to work in. It has nothing to do with engineering, and most people i meet (including coworkers) are shocked to learn i did that in college, so it's a neat trick.
Liam participates in WTYP like how high schoolers participate in discussions during English class where they have a participation grade
Should you need these, I give them to you: :hesitation-1: :hesitation-2:
WTYP sucks since it became The Liam Brags About Being a Bellend Show. Also they ran out of stuff to talk about. Plus they fell off, +L +ratio
"im such a tough guy because im a white guy from bostonsylvania or whatever"
Fk off dude lol
Imagine your entire personality being "drunk driving is hilarious, I'm a total piece of shit"
White cishet dudes be thinking that being a belligerent alcoholic is a substitute for a personality
I like their urbanism and civil engineering, I don't like that every episode has a mandatory rant against the Soviet Union from left-anticommunists who platformed a "rEfOrMeD rEaCtIoNaRy". Liam's politics are babyshit and his only function is as the Aliexpress version of Stavros.
Why do libs believe the Warren Commission that had an obvious conflict of interest and not the Chruch Committe that straight up said it was a conspiracy
J. Posadas, Why the Pentagon Killed Kennedy :posadas:
https://www.marxists.org/archive/posadas/Kennedy-Assassination.html
Probably the most coherent work of Posadas. No aliens or dolphins are involved
I gave them a go at one point because I liked the guy that did the donoteat01 or whatever videos on YouTube. Whatever episode I was listening to, I made it to about the 8th repeated anti-USSR "joke" before I just dipped.
But at the beginning of the podcast the hosts were joking about the incident saying something like “people died because they had too much football”. This kind of misanthropy rubs me the wrong way. I didn’t listen to the show after that.
I remember an old episode where they discussed the Grenfell Tower fire, and Alice did this thing where she didn't want to joke the tragedy. It's like, that didn't stop you or the rest of the podcast from flippantly treating other tragedies, but when a particular tragedy hits too close home, suddenly it's a bridge too far to joke about this particular tragedy.
i found it odd that they went two hours without mentioning George De Mohrenschildt. Alice brought up the Chapo episode "Poppy" and said the idea that George HW Bush had anything to do with JFK's death was a "Chapo joke that got out of hand." That's when I started to be highly disappointed with the episode because the fact that Alice thought that Chapo was "joking" about that stuff when it was clear that they were dead serious seemed a bit dishonest. It was clear they had digested at least some material from "Family of Secrets" but chose not to bring it up. And it's extra disappointing when Liam hand-waves the problem with the Warren Commission and says that the other commission was "discredited" without even saying why. They have this strange habit of doing these conspiracy theory episodes where they hit all the dumb and easily discredited ones out of the park but ignore the actual credible conspiratorial stuff which is admittedly odd relations between seemingly distant stakeholders. Like George De Mohnrenschildt being a Russian White emigre who was friends with the Bush family and got Oswald his job at the book repository and killed himself shortly after writing a letter to George HW Bush a decade later, when he was head of the CIA? Whatever. not worth bringing up in 3 hours. Why ignore that Toddie Lee Wynne, a Texas oil man close to the Bushes and the Dulles' let Oswald's widow live at his house after the assassination? Why did Oswald move to the USSR, immediately marry a soviet official's daughter, move back to the USA in a matter of months, and fall in with a group of Russian anti-soviets? Why did Oswald fall in with anti-communist Russians after apparently being a loud and proud communist for a decade? Why was he assassinated by a known mobster and CIA asset who had been involved in Castro assassination plots? None of this stuff is worth asking any questions about, it's just strange coincidences, the warren commission which was chaired by parties with conflicted interests has all your answers, Oswald was not a sheep-dipped asset. They also think the fact that he went around the US marines in the height of McCarthyism bragging about being a Communist is just him being Le Funny Mentally Ill Man and that nobody took him serious Just Because OK.
anyway, it would be funny to send them 1000 copies of "Family of Secrets" by Russ Baker to their P.O. Box
I've noticed liberals only trust Respected Sources™ but ignore whenever Respected Sources™ have clear conflicts of interest.
There's like multiple government investigations on the JFK assassination, so let's pick the one chaired by demonic ghoullord Allen Dulles lmao. Anyone who believes the Warren Commission is a complete rube.
Love that several episodes of citing actual sources as well as being clear when they are working off conjecture is "a chapo joke that got out of hand" in Alice's mind. Is anything actually real for her? Or is it all just memes and other people being silly
JFK died? I'm just hearing about this for the first time. He led an amazing life. :trump-anguish:
They actually did mention De Mohrenschildt in passing as a notoriously suspicious dude, but then just kinda forgot he existed for the rest of the episode.
There was a lot of that. Just kinda breezing over any shit that Chapo could spend multiple live shows exhaustively analyzing
i must have missed that part because I was so angry by that point lol
Everyone knows the WTC was actually three bodegas in a trench coat and the planes were piloted by a conspiracy of rats working against the bodega cats.
And what if I want to crash a 747 into a bag of Combos? Oh, don't mind if I do!
I'm so relieved to hear you say that because I thought I was the only no-planer around here! I brought up the issue one time and another hexbear user really went debatey on me and I've been afraid to mention it ever since. Was it Ace Baker's videos you saw? Hey, remember when that Ken Westley guy posted new 9/11 footage back in February and his LinkedIn listed extensive CGI experience?
I’m putting my foot down here. Everyone saw the fucking planes, unless you’re gonna suggest mass hypnosis by the CIA. This is fucking ridiculous. :picard:
They used the chemtrails to MKULTRA all of NYC into believing there were planes :alex-aware:
I get it, comrade, it's a big pill to swallow. However, it's not accurate to claim that everyone saw the planes (perhaps you weren't being literal).
I’m putting my foot down here
The line must be drawn HERE! This far; no further! :picard-direct-action:
You guys have got to be kidding. Thousands and thousands of witnesses saw the planes.
aight I'm going to grab my bong and try to give you a redpill executive summary. Hold my beer and give me a few minutes.
Edit: Post.
Sorry, I fell asleep and then had to go to my doctor's appointment.
Edit: Here we go.

Eyewitnesses
"I never actually saw a plane hit the building. I never saw that. I saw it on television, but I never saw it while I was standing there."
---Stephen M. Gregory, retired New York Fire Department Assistant Fire Commissioner
“I did not see a plane go in, that just exploded.”
---ABC reporter Don Dahler
It is a myth that thousands of people actually saw a plane. Surrounded by tall buildings few people in New York’s business district actually had a decent view of the WTC towers. Few people reported actually hearing and seeing planes. Most testimonies of those who did are inconsistent with that of a wide-body commercial airliner hitting a building at 800 feet altitude, full throttle. Meanwhile, it was a simple matter for the TV networks to keep the eyewitnesses who didn’t see a plane off the air. A very small percentage of the approximately 500 First Responders at the WTC reported seeing commercial airliners. An even smaller number reported hearing them. A jet plane takeoff at 300 feet altitude is 10 times louder than a rock concert. There are witnesses who saw the South Tower explode but did not see a plane strike the tower.
“The closer you were, the less you knew.”
---Police Chief Joe Esposito, NYPD
“It was almost like the closer you were, the less you knew…As we look back, we were the least informed.”
---Battalion Chief Joseph Pfeifer, FDNY
Survey results of 117 witnesses
- Only 19 of the witnesses near the WTC reported actually seeing plane 2 before impact and, as a percentage of total number near the WTC, this was 20%.
- Only 20 of the witnesses near the WTC reported actually hearing plane 2 before impact and as a percentage of total number near the WTC, this was 21%.
- Only 8 of the witnesses near the WTC reported actually seeing and hearing plane 2 before impact and as a percentage of total number near the WTC, this was 8.3%.
TV > Real Life.
Hundreds of people saw it happen in person, but billions saw it on TV. The Mandela Effect can explain why a few witnesses remember, years later, seeing the plane in person. It's just like those people who "remember" seeing the (non-existant) footage of Tank Man getting crushed by the Chinese tanks.
What about all the videos of the plane?
Ace Baker has a good video on the capabilities of live video compositing.
Irregularities and clues in the footage
-
Chopper 5 footage appears to show a mistake in live video compositing and attempts to correct the mistake. As shown in Ace Baker’s video, it looks as if the layer mask slipped a little to the left and allowed the nose of the plane to peak through to the other side. This was followed by a sudden cut in the video feed that was likely deliberate and not the result of a lost connection, as if the error was noticed.
-
The plane clips into the tower without causing any visible destruction to the tower, or itself crumpling, until after it disappears completely, and then an explosion emanates from within.
-
No wake vortex. Airplanes are trailed by a column of moving air which takes minutes to dissipate. In no footage will you see any disturbances in the smoke cloud.
-
No flexing or bending of the wings. It's been debated whether the aircraft could even travel at 200 mph above its maximum operating velocity without its wings breaking into pieces, but assuming it could do so it would be shaking and bending violently, but in the videos it's always completely rigid.
The bigger the lie, etc. Also it's effective to make the lie traumatic so that it gets cemented deeper in your psyche.
What is believed to have happened to the two planes that hit the towers in the no plane theories? I'm unfamiliar in general, not deboonking
some weird religious patriotism stuff?
He said God spoke to him through Harry Potter.
There was no mention of cgi experience. We discussed the post in depth here at the time & definitely would have latched onto a mention of CGI experience. It was just aerospace.
please explain to me how the fuck they would have faked planes flying into buildings in front of thousands if not tens of thousands of people
Oh you were joking lol (I wasn't). Well, at least I still got Liz on my side. :shrug-outta-hecks:
Ah fuk I linked the wrong thing I meant this. https://hexbear.net/post/231555/comment/2961795
But yes, that was from the pearl harbor one.
I'm curious too. I'm like 50/50. I don't claim to know anything about 9/11 for certain; I have extreme humility.
Is new pearl harbor the ace baker one?
No, this is the pearl harbor one.
That it was a cruise missile or something like that that hit the pentagon and not a hijacked plane
(pieces of disintegrated fuselage are scattered throughout the lawn and building, area and shape of the damage to the outside walls is congruent with the cross section of an airplane, there's intact parts of airplane engines also just lying there on the fuckin grass)
(Me, with piercing intuition and relentless critical faculties): hmm looks like a missile hittem
The crazy thing is why would you not just use a plane? Like if you are going to fucking blow up your own government's buildings and kill people, why bother using a missile and then taking apart another plane to scatter in the grass? Just use the plane itself. Also nice detail on the missile bs, in those few frames we have of the plane, we see large lampposts being knocked over, ones that are far enough apart provably that plane wings would hit them, but a missile really wouldn't be knocking over like that.
Like weird specific traits of an airplane hitting are present. Why insist on it being a missile?
Well There's Your Problem | Episode 1000: The Well There's Your Problem Podcast (with slides) Liberalism Incident
Friendly reminder that WTYP are liberals with a leftist aesthetic and kind of baby levels of lazy. You might say, "but I'm lazy, too!", but I believe in you and that you wouldn't fuck up as often and as thoroughly as they do.
A good rule regarding conspiracy theories is the more people that would need to be involved to pull it off, the less believable it should be. JFK and MLK taken out by the TLAs, yeah 100% true. Nixon set up by the CIA, probably. Moon landing hoax and 9-11 inside job stuff, probably not. Secret plots are only able to remain secret if there are a small handful of people that are in on op and they are part of the organization. The number of non-CIA people that would need to be involved with faking the moon landing or no planes on 9-11 is just too high to make those theories credible. I'd totally believe it that the US knew about 9-11 and did nothing, or maybe that OBL was a CIA asset and the high jackings were an op, though, but that's pushing it because, again, you're involving people outside the organization.
I’ve heard this ”rule” before but it just kinda falls apart when you look at something like MKULTRA. That had an order of magnitude more people involved than would be required for 9/11, and yet it remained a secret for more than 22 years.
It hasn’t even been 22 years since 9/11 yet.
The Allied invasion of Normandy was a conspiracy involving hundreds of thousands that was effectively kept secret until it was mobilized. Train people to follow orders and keep things on a need-to-know basis.
Keeping a military operation under wraps for a matter of months is not comparably to a conspiracy that is meant to be kept secret indefinitely.
But is it really an indefinite secret if people have been calling it out since literally the day it happened? We're discussing it right now after all. It's just a PR battle IMO, a propaganda game.
When normal crimes get called out, they get investigated and charged by authorities. When state crimes against democracy get called out, there are no authorities interested in starting earnest investigations because the authorities are the conspirators.
The people involved in MKULTRA were either on the agency payroll or got their funding from the feds. I was living in Spain when 9-11 happened and saw the second plane hit on a live Spanish language broadcast. I just don't think, especially in 2001, that the technology existed to create that elaborate of a hoax in addition to the number of people who aren't part of the agency who would need to be involved for it to be plausible to me.
Ok, I'm totally willing to believe the US security state either ignored credible warnings or even pushed OBL in this specific direction and might have provided logistical support to the hijackers. It's in their interests to do so. The no planes, demolition charges stuff is a bridge I can't cross.
The fact that no planers even cross your mind when the government doing 9/11 is brought up is the product of a 20 year propaganda campaign.
I wasn't even aware of the existence of them prior to this post.
luckyyyy. that shit made it so I refused to look into shit deeper for a long time. When the space lasers come out it really distracts from the super sus shit that has a paper trail
That shit frustrated me so much. I stopped partway through their 9/11 series because they went from provable shit to suddenly throwing contradictory theories together with no delineation. If they went with an ep for each type of theory then I get it, but instead they just seamlessly going between very tangible stuff about the CIA ignoring or discouraging people looking into stuff involving the hijackers beforehand, and then go into no-planer stuff.
If you wanna cover all of it, fine. But they just got scrambled and threw it all at the audience. Like don't throw less provable or even contradictory stuff in while covering actually proven facts about financial dealings.
I will admit, I have problems with the series as a series
I just don’t think, especially in 2001, that the technology existed
MKULTRA had a lot smaller public impact than 9/11 or the JFK assassination, though, and has had far less scrutiny.
It's not quite "lots of people = impossible to keep quiet." It's that the visibility is a function of how many people are involved, the size of the public impact, how much scrutiny is applied, how much the public cares about the event, and how much effort is applied at concealing/misdirecting/normalizing.
