Warning little bit of doomerism in this comment. Though I do participate in voting via harm reduction at best yes this is all very much true and at this point my feelings are :rust-darkness:
Every time we do this fucking dance of electoralism which does nothing for material goods except whether or not we get evangelical fascist laws put through is degrading on the soul that the fleeting dem status quo of NOTHING is the best world we have. Even more having relatives and friends that actively watch meaningless MSM as though they GIVE A SHIT who is in power in Ohio of all fucking places. The brains of so many people are beyond fried by this farcical shit we will likely continue this trend until electricity is too expensive for people to have this shit on 24/7 at which point I expect people to go fucking insane.
Like fucking hell isn't it weird that though there's Youtube (or hundreds of other streaming/mindless content sites) with thousands of esoteric fucking documentaries, music feeds, bullshit background noise vids, people still spend a quarter of their day listening to media personalities that would gladly sell their viewers organs for a nice summer home rant on and on about meaningless shit.
Elections just serve to launder malicious policy which has been thrust upon the workers.
Pass atrocious laws without having mock elections every now and again and the people point the pitchforks at the perpetrators rather than each other.
Top it all off with a complete dearth of political literacy/education and people don't figure it out until they wasted most of their life running in a hamster wheel.
