    People have degrees in taking care of sports field grass because it actually takes a lot of knowledge.

    I guess Arkansas is south enough that they didn't have a "fuck what do I do if there's actually a winter here for once" elective.

    It might've worked with salt water, but that would kill the grass most likely. Stadiums in places that have winter have giant heatlamps but I'm guessing they wouldn't have those because they probably don't have winter.

    It's the classic southern problem of having to close everything for a tiny amount of snow because no one has any equipment to deal with it. I'm guessing the game wouldn't be able to be played even if they didn't make an ice rink.
