I have a Khmer significant other and the Khmer Rouge is a topic I have been interested in. Their parents lived through it, but their family is super tight lipped about it (understandably). Can anyone give me insight into what happened as my only information on it comes from Wikipedia and the "Cambodian Rock Band" show I went and saw with my SO.
