Wow. There are some interesting techniques in there. I wish I could just go into the forest and harvest huge diameter bamboo roofing.

Wonder if I can source rough sawn lumber like that at a huge discount

exactly! as an american, it's so alien to think about just going and chopping some tree down without some :grillman: getting pissed off

Bamboo definitely ain't like trees though. Trees take forever to grow and bamboo will just fire a mf 3 feet up in a day.

Found this comment on a different video. Not sure how much of it is true. Does the party employ her to do this work? Are there others like her in different rural communities around china?

I’ve watched a video from a vlogger which introduces the background of the girl. According to the video, The parents of Lin and her brother was separated when she was four or five years old and her father and mother made their new family separately. Thus Lin and her brother lived with her grandpa and grandma. Her childhood was quite hard as her grandpa did not make money easily. They got second hand clothes from other families. But Lin was a good student in primary and secondary schools. When she passed the examination for a very good high school, she decided to stop study in high school as the expenses for study in the good high school was too high to take it. She wanted to find a job to help her grandpa. When her anti persuaded her to continue the study. She selected a high school which is cheaper. Later she got into the Yunnan University, specialized subject in hydropower and motor. Meanwhile, her broth did not continue the study and start to work to support his sister’s study in the university. After graduation,Lin returned to her home town and joint local government as a junior staff. From the last year, she started to be a vlogger in repairing electric and mechanical equipment.
