Lots of libs say it, using de-colonizing language to attempt to balkanize and colonize Russia. It’s a common refrain from the natoids that Russia must be broken up along ethnic lines to “de-colonize” it (ignoring the irony that foreign powers coming in and splitting up regions along ethnic lines is exactly how colonization occurs)

      They are disgusting hypocrites

These shitheads will inevitably take every single theoretical concept the left identifies and expounds and turn it into pablum. Everything from the concept of capitalism itself to the bourgeoisie and proletariat, to imperialism, colonialism, intersectionality, direct action, gentrification, abolition and so on.

They really don't want to open that can of worm with how every single country in the International Community gained their current size.

Didn't the idea of breaking up Russia start with Dick Cheney? He is supposed to have advocated it when he was Bush Snrs secretary of defense and in typical Washington style described it as "so they can never threaten us again"

I believe it was the goal all throughout the 90s and it’s basically a miracle that Russia made it through that intact, the imperialists were too busy looting and destroying the USSR as a whole to focus on the destitute Russian federation

I'm gonna need to dig through a lot of stuff for this so I don't have a citation on hand but I do remember reading that on the outbreak of the Russian Civil War and the intervention of the 14 entente powers, the imperialists wanted to carve up the former Russia empire into spheres of influence aka balkanize it to turn it into resource extraction states.
