like 15 years ago my skype group would do prank calls to Wal-Marts. We'd pretend to be workers there who were taking the day off unannounced, or we'd say we were quitting. Every single time the management would start threatening us and it wouldn't matter what name we gave them. Instant pissed off management threatening us with termination or docked pay, often loud swearing too. We got the impression Wal-Mart managers have no clue who works for them or there's such a high turn-over rate no one can keep track.

One time I called up a store and pretended to be a dipshit who just learned about unions, and the joke was I thought I needed my manager's approval (it was honestly too complex of a bit). So I kept asking this guy things like "So I'm signing up for this union right now...where do I get your signature?" and the guy was frantically yelling at me to stop, that unions are a scam, and are actually illegal in most states.

it was fun sometimes being an internet delinquent

I don't think anyone would ever notice. There have been stories of people doing this kind of thing in legit office environments, even sometimes living long-term in the offices without ever being employed. Just wandering around sometimes with a clipboard or whatever, nobody questions it. I can't imagine Walmart people would be any more observant.

One of my first jobs there was a guy that always carried around a clipboard because it made it look like he was busy while he wandered around the store bull shitting with other employees, he was a real inspiration for 20 year old me.

If you can pull this off at the Google offices or someplace similar that's top chad material since you can steal tons of free swag. Unfortunately all those companies started taking security a lot more seriously after some guy got caught after doing it and even sleeping in spots where cameras couldn't see for a couple years.

Back when flash mobs were a thing some group had dozens of people show up and best buy wearing blue polos and khaki pants and just stand around all over the place being helpful. I don't remember why that was funny but I remember that it was funny.
