Makes me wish for anarchists arsonists to burn down Palo Alto.

I hate this guy but this video is reasonable. Democrats keep talking the talk but when it comes time to take action, they just :shy: and ask republicans for respect then blame progressives for everything. Isn't this what we complain about when it comes to democrats?

Yeah I'm not sure what the ulterior motive of this video is but it really feels like he's leveraging leftist talking points to promote something patently non-leftist. To be more precise, it's like the evidence provided is sound but the conclusion he leads us to is what, that blue states cause bad outcomes? It's much more likely that densely populated urban hubs are simply more prone to these types of crises and they would occur whether governance was "red" or "Blue". Is this some effort to harness YIMBY enthusiasm for the republican party?

      Blarg.

It comes off though as "oh please vote harder X individual" but who is this individual? Seems to be 9/10 some deluded remnant of the middle class punching people down and into the crab bucket. Additionally most statewide governments have a shit ton of power, as shown by the breaking off of republican controlled states in response to Covid and federal "policy" attempts. The entire state of California could legitimately just force through requirements on counties based on population for set amount dedicated to affordable housing (this will never happen, Newsom would receive a mailbox bomb). In short this video is liberals first video on asking "hey why is stuff shit when dems are in control?" but asks very little beyond that of what must be done.
