The US midfield is actually really fun to watch. Yunus Musah is a beast. The US just doesn't have a quality striker who can score, which is why they will forever be able to get out of the group stage and then immediately get bounced in the knockout round.

It was already such a young team, adding another 19 year old was probably too much. They already have Musah, who turned 20 today, and Reyna, who just turned 20, on the squad. Starting in 86 all matchday 3 games per each group start at the same time. The logic is that teams playing in a later game would have an advantage knowing the result of the earlier game. For example, a team knowing they only need a draw to advance because of the result of an earlier game might change their tactics. Also, there was some talk in earlier tournaments that safe to advance teams manipulated goal differential to favor a team from their own confederation advancing.
