Interesting article, the result of the the first time in 50 years that press were allowed to sit in for all session's of the Trilateral Commission's Asia group.

China's rise is evidently making East-Asian elites increasing weary of obeying U.S demands for total obedience to their directives. On the other hand, the magnitude of China's gains over recent decades has also drawn India closer into America's orbit, due to a fear of being outmatched as a power in Asia.

I hope China is pointing out to India and all other US allies in Asia how the US is completely screwing over their European "allies" w/r/t the war in Ukraine. And if that's how racist ass Americans treat their fellow white people...

reminds me of the Hindutva nationalists who go on twitter to run defense for Israel and the Israelis who respond by calling them stuff like "subhuman dogs"

America/white worship is a disease. You could point out the history of abuse and give current examples. All they'll respond with is: "Well at least it's not China or Russia. USA is democratic!"

But those who are more critical will probably take note

China wasn’t there in this meeting. But two points:

Positive: If forced to choose, it is mentioned that SE Asian countries will choose China over U.S.

Negative: India is more anti-China than ever before (well, since the war). As a rising power, it is being groomed by western capital to take on China.
