    Hell world where if you don't get the neuralink you're at an effectively 0:100 disadvantage in terms of your capacity for intellectual work but getting the implant means you can be scolded by being given brain damage/death/used to mine bitcoin instead of relaxing.

      Under capitalism all technology is quickly co-opted by advertising, so you'd be at an advantage ten years later bc everyone around you periodically gets stuck mentally watching imprinted-memory ads from time to time and it functionally gives them severe ADHD

      And if the ads stop happening the economy collapses
