i get why they did the redesign, she emotes way more than her video game counterpart and they need to make eyes and eyebrows more prominent so the audience has an easier time parsing her face, but they went too far on the dreamworks face department, i hope there's promotional material with a close up of peach's face with her eyebrow raised though
Don't they usually try to make these 3D characters looks slightly like their voice actors? I'm pretty sure people were just praising the fact that the Bowser design looks somewhat like Jack Black.

Oh yeah Peach does have a slight resemblance to Taylor-Joy now that you mention it
Maybe when they're stunt casting film actors in voice actor roles. Normally they can look like whatever they want the character to look like.
