Dark Knight Rises is pretty fucking horrible. Has a massive cast of great actors who barely have any screen time and deliver cringey dogshit lines. The fighting choreography is pretty horrendous, there’s nothing creative it’s just guys throwing generic punches. Things just happen with no explanation or respect to time. Batman does not grow as a character or develop at all, he’s static the entire movie. The cinematography relies on a motif of realism, but the writing goes against this at every possible turn.
Not to mention the whole thing with societal change being a threat to wealth, therefore bad.
Only movie I’ve ever walked out on, and after watching it all the way through with friends later it’s the only movie I flat out refuse to watch.

no, he gives up his sentiments of noblesse oblige and retires to live a simple aristocratic life in southern europe.
obviously nolan is an old tory and the movie's politics are "bad", but Rises is probably the only thematically interesting of the three.
I think its the best batman movie there is because I get to cheer for Bane through the entire thing
