    Daily reminder that Notch was promoted to mod at /r/dr!ma on :reddit-logo: , a k!w!farms adjacent cryptofascist hellhole. Roughly half his posts there are about how he tries to make people different than him want to kill themselves and the other half is him feeling sorry for himself for being creepy and lonely and deserving it. :kombucha-disgust:

    As cool as all of Lena Raine’s work is, the reason C418 is no longer the composer working on minecraft is a bit of an ugly one. One of C418’s demands was to keep the rights to the music he composed. Microsoft at some point (somewhat arbitrarily) decided that this was no longer tenable, which led to termination of the collaboration. Raine took up the mantle and did the best job humanly possible (the music added in the nether update is superb), but the separation from C418 carries a bitter aftertaste.

    At least otherside and Pigstep are a fucking bop, so there’s that.

      Just remember that Notch lives alone in a huge mansion, scrolling twitter all day and complaining about trans people, all the while the thing that built his completely empty life has cut all ties and basically removed all mention of his involvement. A cursed existence

    Oh, she also composed the soundtrack for Celeste and it was great ! Maybe I'll restart playing Minecraft, tho I don't like how chummy they've gotten with Microsoft, and I don't know if I'll still be able to use my Mojang account or get this data back.

      huh over the years i'm 3 for 3 on furries in day-to-day life being aggressive sex pests (before the whole brony thing, even) but I later met some furries in online spaces who aren't horrible people, so i've managed to not be a hater.

          yeah idk. it was three completely unconnected people years apart. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it but I think their boundary issues might be related to the willingness to be furry in public on a weekday afternoon.

          there's an anime con around here that's like 40% furry and i haven't heard anything about them having huge problems with SA so those kids are probably alrigh.
