I can't believe the popular opinion is on the side of the youtube prank twerp and the level of emotion these people bring to the subject of leaving shopping carts out. Am I morally deficient for not giving a hoot, or are these people deranged for wanting to occupy such a hall monitor mindset?

It takes like 20 seconds and keeps the parking lot clean. Unless you have some kind of physical disability stopping you there's no reason why you shouldn't

Though threatening to kick someone's ass on camera sounding like you're about to blow an aneurism because you couldn't be bothered to do that? The amount of mockery you deserve is endless :data-laughing:

Hard disagree. "it's funny to push someone's buttons until they have a mental breakdown" and "you deserve more because you let us see you bleed" is insanely toxic schoolyard bully mentality. The extreme pettiness of the righteous cause being used as an excuse just demonstrates the fact that it's just a veneer for the cruelty.

“it’s funny to push someone’s buttons until they have a mental breakdown”

In 99% of cases I agree that isn't funny, but if a dorky youtuber putting magnets that don't stick on your car for making minimum wage workers clean up after you sends you to several death threats and punches, then you're not the victim here

Speaking as one of those workers who did that job, leaving your cart propped up in one of those planter islands is the second best thing to do behind actually returning it. It's really not a big deal.

I'm not sure if I agree with the framing that it's a minimum wage worker doing it. I think of it as Costco doing it. The only time it really makes a difference to the worker is at the end of the day when it's time to get them all in to lock up.

it's actually the correct course of action if you're doing it to the right kind of person

Bullies always seem to find worthy victims

Honestly it's miraculous how they ALWAYS deserve it. What a just world.
