    Producerism is dumb. You could say the same thing about a lot of other traditionally unionized workers. The problem is that they don't strike with other workers and are the strike breakers of the state.

      Yeah, the primary issue with cop unions isn't that they aren't producers, some form of investigation and crime response will always be needed. It's that they're a union that exists to serve capital and destroy solidarity.

      If the cop unions were friendly with other organized labor forces and struck in solidarity they'd actually be pretty valuable allies, but that's not the case and never will be as long as they serve the carceral/capitalist state
