If he dumped all his Physical Adept points into reflex dice, he'd be able to... have a reach 0 weapon that still kind of sucks and he really should have gone for something longer that hits harder. Monofilament whips are time-honored meta. :theory-gary:
I have never played the game (shadowrun?) But could it be an enchanted dagger? My current ranger/druid character has one in the 5e game I play and she has shanked an awful lot of the game's equivilent of Pinkertons with it.
Sure, but even the best Weapon Focus dagger lacks reach. Reach is everything in Shadowrun melee combat. Should have went for a staff for plausible deniability or a polearm or something otherwise. :theory-gary:
Ah that makes a lot of sense, I think there's a couplea niche weapons in 5e that give you 10ft range instead of 5 but other than that it's pretty much irrelavent.
Seems a shame though. A knife fighter with switchblades seems like it'd be quite a fun character concept. Is there some sorta bonus for getting inside someone else's weapon range so they can't swing a club or whatever as effectively?

Cold Iron, in case you gotta deal with Fae.
