The United States has killed more people than any other Government in the history of the world. They have allied themselves with what are probably the second and third biggest killers (UK & Germany) so they can more efficiently rule the world while killing more and more people.
And yet whe're supposed to see them as the good guys. We're supposed to believe that that very same government has our best interests at heart, and we're supposed to enthusiastically support them and cheer them on when they start on their next mass murder campaign. Because if you don't. If you speak out against the supremacy of this unrepentant killer, then YOU are the bad guy, YOU are the enemy, YOU are evil.
Because the machine demands more death, the machine is good and it demands blood, and they will give it blood. The US government will feed it millions of Iraqis, Hundreds of Thousands of Syrians and Yemenis into the machine.
And now it's feeding this machine hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians. And that is good. And soon it will feed it Hundreds of thousands of Iranians, and that is good. Because one day it will need to kill, massacre, slaughter millions of Chinese. And that is good, that is glorious. Because this machine, the machine of Capitalism, the Bourgois money extraction machine needs it, the machine demands it.
And the populace will cheer. The American people will cheer as it's government kills another million people here, and another million people there. The American will cry tears of joy as they themselves are fed into the machine, grinded into a fine soup and molded into coins. Coins that will flow into the bloody hands of their righteous rulers, their gods, their masters. Those who are seperated from us by the fact that they alone control the machine. They own it. The machine is good and they own it. They are good.

Wow : "An extra 2.5-3 million Russian adults died in middle age in the period 1992-2001 than would have been expected based on 1991 mortality."
If we count all of these things - and we should - Germany might still be the winner. I'm not trying to downplay anything the U.S. has done. I'm saying that Germany was somehow worse than we seem to remember. Twelve million in the Holocaust, plus 24 million Russian civilians, plus all the other deaths in the European theatre of WWII, minus Allied war crimes . . . plus everything else Germany has done before and since. Everything we've mentioned in this subthread still doesn't touch Germany's WWII numbers.
If we are going for all time record, the British empire are still probably the worst for just India alone. An estimated billion were killed there through famine and deprivation over the course of their colonial project, that’s right with a B.
However, ranking these things is sort of irrelevant since the mantle of global capitalist empire was passed off by UK to the USA, so they are in effect the same thing. The imperialist blob of capital, it just shifted its current host.
Germany had a good effort trying to emulate Britain and force their way into power through employing the British/American tactics, but they couldn’t pull it off. The Soviets were just a much harder target to genocide and colonize than the indigenous Americans or undeveloped nations, due to their amazing economy, planning and technology. The power of communism was all that stopped Germany from becoming the new capitalist hegemony instead of the US

Agreed.
