Aside from the weird consumerism aspect I think edc is cute. It's like guys excited to have the most helpful handbag in the weird competitive way they know how to socialise.
Only shit i carry is my wallet, keys, and a pocketknife. Got the pocketknife about 25 years ago from a friend who is no longer among the living.
EDC is practical to a point. Past the point you just end up a tacticool dork without the tacticool shit.
I just edc a gas station security guard in my trunk. They've got everything you could ever need.
