Yeah, I've talked to some engineering grad bros who wish the pure machines didn't require stupid drivers, and could be taken to their logical limits by removing the human element.
And now every car takes the exact same optimized line every lap and the only difference is who's car has better specs which will be apparent after 1 race.
Not that that's any more or less boring than how the actual F1 season is going where it was apparent who was going to win 2 laps into the first race but still.
