Is it because obvious class distinctions that are then destroyed by the player is good? I didn’t watch the video.
I mean his argument works for the premise of everyone having easy access to magic, but in most fantasy worlds- lotr, Skyrim, Asoif - magic is held by a small number born with natural ability or takes years of study to learn, either way putting it in the hands of a small elite and leaving the peasantry searching for more accessible solutions.
