    Twitter mad man and dunk artiste Adam Johnson took them to task about it - especially their screeching and pearl-clutching over the nebulous crimewave in SF and their lopsided reporting on stores closing down.

      Didn't it turn out that there were something incredible like 900 news articles and segments on one instance of shoplifting?

        Yeah, it spread everywhere. Like a dancing rat on TikTok - I think it even got onto wobbling pinhead shows like Rogan - with claims that shoplifting was the singular cause for certain stores closing down, when in fact the ownership had already said about three years ago that the stores would be closing due to consolodation or whatever the fuck.

        Particularly insidious and, of course, racially tinged.
