I am just thanking God they don't pay attention to old school video games as much.
Link in OoT was made to look androgynous on purpose for immersion reasons, Link is really only a dude because it serves as a challenge for one part of the game.
Porky Minch and Count Veger, characters they would want as protagonists, are both villains.
Sly Cooper implies that lawful and good are not necessarily synonyms. You're greatest obstacle in the series is Carmelita Fox, although she is well-intentioned, she still ultimately stands in the way of Sly who is arguably more efficient in stopping actual terrorists. Oh yeah, and also Sly adopts knowledge from ancestors that came from non-white countries IRL, and the villains from both western and non-western countries are equally portrayed as competent. Also, the first boss you face is literally them: A spoiled WASP who commits acts of evil for entertainment because his life was so easy he got bored.
inFamous 2 and infamous Second Son. In the former, whether you play as good or evil, you get to smack around a bunch of fascists with southern drawls. In the latter, the "evil" playthrough turns you into an antifa supersoldier.
Not a video game, but a good way to make these losers seethe is to point out that Magneto has canonically defeated Red Skull, who tried the same "you're no better than me" logic on the former.
Pre-Character development Mewtwo did nothing wrong.
