    Earth rotates eastward, in prograde motion at around 1670kph, and around the sun at 107,000kph

      If we think of the eastward rotation as rightward movement, then since the rotation is slowing perhaps the world is moving less to the right. I’m not sure if that’s the same thing as leftward movement, but it’s something.

        2020 was a new record for shortest year by a couple milliseconds. We're speeding up I'm afraid

          Haha yeah there is some wobble to it, isn’t there? That’s wild. I hadn't been aware of that before. Thanks. So yeah the short-term tend at the moment is even greater rightward motion even if the long-term trend is a slowing of the rightward spin. That’s kind of depressing.
