    Why college football specifically? Because they’re still mad at Kaep? Don’t most right wingers thing CFB is for sissies because they take head injury protocol even somewhat seriously?

      A common sentiment I've heard in defense of college/HS spectator sport events is that

      "they're playing for their future and career, the stakes are higher so they play harder." :grillman:

          yea

          TBH the "play hard" sentiment just gives me "But if it's not a fight to the death the gladiator's wouldn't even try!" vibes but I've always been kinda weird about sports. I think they're great important and fun but I think the spactacle of them is uh worth discussing to be polite.

      Probably that and I think college football is more popular in several chud Meccas like Alabama and Mississippi, and still massively popular in Texas, Georgia, and Florida.
