My understanding is that EA is a liberal framework developed out of wealthy silicon valley dorks who feel like they want to use their wealth for good somehow.

I wouldn't sweat it and just join up with a local org and do what you can.

        but Peter Singer

The same Peter Singer that said that if you're elderly and have dementia you should euthanize them, yet when his own mother had Alzheimer's he spent money on her healthcare? Or the same Peter Singer that argued that it's pretty much ok to rape disabled people? Fuck Peter Singer, his whole philosophy is whack and he doesn't even stick to it himself.

Give what you can. Nobody would blame you for devoting yourself less due to a physical disability, so don't be too hard on yourself for your adhd.

It's more effective to give to socialist orgs that are working on systemic change than charity orgs, since systemic change will reduce the need for charity

I'm not even talking about socialism. I'm talking about small reforms that make a big difference. Like the rent reduction some new Yorkers saw this year, or Massachusetts' recent family medical leave law, or the recent upsurge in union activity.

Honestly with that attitude, I recommend you look into propaganda of the deed. You'd be just as effective!
