(Sorry if ladbible.com is a bad source I don't keep up with media too well)

So I don't usually give a shit about celebrities, but apparently, it recently came out that Brendan Fraser was blacklisted by Hollywood for letting slip that he was sexually abused by the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Philip Berk.

You know what James Woods had to say about this? "I understand what he went through, I too was blacklisted... for my conservative values"

Imagine comparing being blacklisted for being a bigot to being sexually assaulted. Fucking clown.

Keep in mind this is what Brenden Fraser went through (heads up, it includes a detailed description of sexual assault):

spoiler

The 53 year old said: "His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint. And he starts moving it around. I felt ill. "I felt like a little kid. I felt like there was a ball in my throat. I thought I was going to cry... In my mind, at least, something had been taken away from me." Berk, who is still a member of the HFPA, previously tried to describe the incident as a joke in his 2014 memoir, and in a recent statement given to GQ, he added: "His career declined through no fault of ours." After his shocking revelation, Fraser received a written apology but claims he found himself shut out from the HFPA and the Golden Globes awards, leading him to wonder if he'd been blacklisted. After this, the actor suffered personal setbacks including issues with his own health, divorce and the loss of his mother.

Yeah, being blacklisted for being sexually assaulted is just like being blacklisted for being a bigoted fuck!

Fuck chuds.

I feel for the dude but man he must have an incredible PR team behind his comeback explosion. All of a sudden he was at the top of every social media feed and everyone in person was talking about him too.

the cynic in me knows that it has nothing to do with him or his struggle, but everyhthing that his struggle provides as a narrative to the comeback kid story that Aronofsky has already provided us once before with Rourke.
