Actually, they only give government cheese to people over 60. And that's likely to get cut in either this year's farm bill or the next, because the only reason it's still a thing is to stabilize the cheese market when there's a surplus.
when its sold private it isn't 'government' of course, i mean its the same food product. they're out here making the food deemed shitty enough to give out for free too luxurious for SNAP

if you go get like, store brand knock-off velveeta, you're getting the same thing.
