Grover Furr argues that our only evidence of it being a USSR massacre is from Nazi sources. I assume many here tak that line of reasoning. I don't know enough to say anything not already said by thousands of others, but it also seems pretty normal to me that the Nazi's would execute a large number of intelligentsia, considering they did a lot and already considered poles a lower race.

Honestly my opinion is: if the USSR did it, i will say "sucks that it happened, Id assume there was some reason like the Polish Intelligentsia having fascist ties, and we know that excess occurs in such times" and if the Nazi's did it "sucks that it happened, that's some normal fascist shit to do to a people you consider lower"

You can laugh, I guess, but it seems like most of the opposing evidence does come from sources I don't trust, like Nazi's and Americans. Grover Furr may not be the expert on the topic, but is convincing enough that I won't take it as absolutely clearcut that USSR soldiers did it.

The vast majority of shell casings found were German and if I recall some were stamped with dates like 1941 or something
