The same right wing freaks who are making it illegal to admit quee people exist in Florida were trying to do the same thing to entire classes of media back in the 80s. Tipper (and many others) was carrying water for them by being a reasonable centrist instead of shouting them down for being fascist bastards.

Tipper Gore advocated for warning labels on explicit media and was considered a pearl clutcher and a censor by a lot of people
