The treats, in all forms, are defended. Those that criticized the treats have already been concern trolled about how they're "not real leftists" because they criticized the treats instead of showing a progress report of building Communism with their bare hands, or otherwise received some other sort of personal attack.
Because enjoying treats is free and criticizing them is a privilege that can be revoked.
Something something it isn't physically building Communism so it is worthless and bad to do unlike consuming entertainment which isn't held to the same "does it build Communism" standards as criticizing it.
