I think you'd have to rewrite it a bit lmao

Instead of having Goku go to the afterlife to meet King Kai, maybe he barely survives and takes Raditz's space pod to King Kai's planet. Goku is still late arriving to that fight with the Kaioken/Spirit Bomb, and as a result Yamcha bites it, and everyone else is down for the count until Yajirobe shows up with senzu beans.

Frieza saga needs a total rewrite from the ground up though.
