I looked at Somewhat Truth’s profile and their pinned tweet is about how people can’t afford rent and food and our economic system is unsustainable, so I do think they’re doing a satire here

They also replied to the last tweet in the picture with “I’m an artist and you’ve completed my art”

it's satire, but there really are people out there who see declining quality of treats as a result of "socialism" rewarding mediocrity, and other nonsense like that

I don't recall the Frosty machine ever having a swirl function

Which means this guy wants someone making minimum wage to stand in one spot carefully taking turns with the vanilla and chocolate while at the same time having to juggle the orders of the five or six people in the drive thru because they never have enough people on the shift to do this shit comfortably

Ah yes, I, as a worker, ought to have pride in my ability to checks notes spin two flavors of iced cream together

the insistence that we take pride in compulsory labor is baffling. they used to scold me about that when i was literally a child.

if they want me to have pride in my work, they should simply give me control of the means of production

lol. lmao. Imagine calling a Chicago alderman a "communist". Ray Lopez is as much a communist as JD Rockefeller.

Bloomberg was born before any formal system of government was ever declared

why would anyone in a wendys care about wendys. They as they do not own their means of production have no incentive to do anything beyond the minimum needed to not be fired

I often try to get away from the idea class consciousness is suppressed in America due to prevalence of treats and retail workers people can yell at. It seems too simple of a framework.

    Then I see this

Based on the other comments I think he's doing a bit, but it still makes me think about the extent to which shitty people act like the poor / working class owe somebody something, or owe something to capitalism more broadly.

One of my favorite quotes is "Nobody owes anybody anything." Some Gilded Age twat literally said that*, in the context of dismissing social safety nets and public welfare, of course, but it's delightful to flip that sentiment on whiny chuds and capitalists when they don't get the cheap but high-quality labor they feel so fucking entitled to.

*also rocky balboa, apparently. when I search the quote I get rocky quotes as one of the first results. If anybody knows who the guy was that I'm thinking about, please drop a name
