Can you believe people used to defend trees and the natural environment using techniques such as tree spiking with spikes or ceramic, destroying construction equipment through targeting the engine oil, pulling up survey markers, pulling drains, cutting fences, flattening tires, undercutting roads, and destroying billboards?

I for one can't believe instructions for these effective and non violent techniques were once documented in one place called " Ecodefense: A Field Guide to Monkeywrenching"
