Thanks. It's been a pretty fucked year. Lost 2 friends to fentanyl and 1 to lung cancer. Being poor is becoming more and more of a death sentence.

I'm sorry to hear that. Its been awhile since I've lost anyone that I knew personally. A couple public figure deaths around my age or much younger have got me feeling extremally mortal which is a feeling I do not like. But other than that it's been awhile. Didn't even lose anyone to covid somehow. (I'm doing the autism thing where I talk about my own experiances to relate to you I've been told that can be offputting but idk how else to be).

But yeah, sorry you're going through that comrade.

That's fine, I made your joke comment about me. A friend of mine who drums in a punk band actually opened their song Pharmaceutical Warfare with the line "I don't know anyone that's died from covid but over ten of my friends have died from fentanyl since the pandemic started." He got on methadone when covid hit and was a lifelong junkie beforehand, he anticipated what would happen to the supply since fent was becoming an issue already. The most recent pal was only about a week ago, keybump on weekends coke user, got a sloppy batch and now he's dead at 40. A decent amount of my pals live or lived a pretty rock n roll lifestyle, but things have gone from 'probably okay if you keep your shit together to 'you will die if you touch this stuff'.
