If you believe this you can personally stop using electricity. Cause there are millions of people without the access to heat, water, hygiene and light and stuff that I bet you don't consider stuff you'd be willing to give up. We also want to expand a decent standard of living to those who have been providing it for us while having been denied it themselves. Yeah, we over consume in the imperial core, non question, but that same level consume if distributed equally still has the same environmental effect. Providing the global south with the same basic infrastructure that we take as basic aspects of life still requires a lot of electricity even if we adjust our own consumption, that's even ignoring that it takes that much more power to create a sustainable infrastructure. This isn't about a slight change to the treat bucket, it's how to provide basic needs to people worldwide.

This isn't about iPhone. This is about heat, water, light, do you live without those? Cause lots of people do and I'd like to see they have access to them. Even if we do without iPhone, the world needs electricity and you've yet to suggest how to provide these basic electric based needs to 8 billion people. Give me an alternative.
