An eviction-turned-armed confrontation led to the death of a landlady in the Providence neighborhood of Olneyville on Monday, police say.

Landlord thought they could pull a kickdoor and discovered there were consequences. Hope Watson gets off with the most lenient punishment but I doubt RI will let that happen.

    [Landlord] and two other people, including her brother, had climbed some stairs to approach the man's apartment door, which someone kicked in during the exchange, Lapatin said.

    "There were some weapons we believe that were in the possession of the people entering," said Lapatin, who did not specify who was armed.

      The craziest part is the local cops would surely have been happy to perform the eviction for her if it was a legal eviction, that's like half of what they do. The landlord had terminal Americabrain (tm) and wanted to do it themselves, illegally.

        They believe they have the right to use violence to control their private property. They're also big mad the police don't give a shit about small fish and will tell them to take it to court.
